Job Posting for a New Project

EPIC with funding from the Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) is launching a one-year initiative, “Ang Ating Mga Anak, Tanging Yaman”: A Bicultural Parenting Program.

In this program. Filipino families in Edmonton learn ways to blend Filipino and Canadian parenting practices with confidence and comfort. Parents will co-create the program, making sure it suits real family needs. Workshops are interactive, hands-on, and mostly in Filipino, to encourage open and honest conversations. There’s even a special celebration where parents and kids can share what they’ve learned.

About thirty parents and up to forty children will take part. Families will build closer, healthier relationships through art, music, and group discussions. Kids will develop a stronger sense of identity, and parents will feel more empowered in their parenting journey.
